Crates

From digging for dinosaur bones to investigating a collision scene, each trunk-sized “crate” contains everything you need to bring science and math to life. Our curriculum-linked crates use highly visual, hands-on, minds-on activities to illustrate how science and math are used in everyday situations.

Collaborating with teachers, students, experts and sponsors, Science Alberta Foundation ensures each crate accurately reflects real-world applications of science and math and motivates learners with diverse learning needs to explore science and technology.

Crates

Each crate:

  • Sets a creative stage through a story line or scenario with hands-on activities
  • Engages learners in scientific inquiry and problem-solving
  • Contains unique tools, customized models and difficult-to-access equipment needed to support and promote science and math learning
  • An Activity Guide that outlines curriculum links and instructions for each activity

Crates are cost effective and thanks to generous sponsorship are only $50 to book, but provide thousands of dollars worth of resources in each crate. With over 40 different crate topics it is easy to find one that addresses a curriculum topic you are teaching this year. Check out our booking site to book a crate now!
