Terms of Use

By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these terms of use, conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not agree to these terms you may not order product from this website.

The Science Alberta Foundation website and online booking system are offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions and notices contained herein. Your use of the Science Alberta Foundation website constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions and notices.

All personal information provided by individuals also becomes subject to Science Alberta Foundation’s applicable Privacy Policy.

Loss, Damage and Repairs:

The Borrower hereby assumes the entire risk of loss and damage to the product and its contents from every cause whatsoever and shall keep and maintain the product contents in good repair, condition and working order. No loss or damage to the product and its contents shall impair any obligation of the Borrower under this agreement which shall continue in full force and effect. In the event of loss or damage of any kind whatsoever to the product or its contents, the Borrower shall immediately inform Science Alberta Foundation who will replace or repair the lost or damaged items, the cost to be borne by the Borrower.

Insurance:

The Borrower shall at his own expense maintain liability, theft, fire and any other insurance required to indemnify Science Alberta Foundation against any loss to or of the product and its contents to the extent of the original replacement value, such insurance to cover the insurance interest of Science Alberta Foundation in said product and its contents. This insurance shall be kept in effect from the time the product is shipped by Science Alberta Foundation until it is returned by the Borrower to Science Alberta Foundation.

Indemnity:

The Borrower shall indemnify Science Alberta Foundation against, and hold Science Alberta Foundation harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including solicitors’ fees, arising out of, connected with, or resulting from the product and its contents, including without limitation the manufacture, selection, delivery, possession, use, operation or return of the product and its contents.

Copyright:

Website content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Science Alberta Foundation. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Science Alberta Foundation.

Links may contain links to other websites, such as to those of our partners and service providers. When you access a non-SAF website, even one that may contain the SAF logo and content regarding SAF’s products and services, such websites are independent of SAF, and SAF has no control over the operation of such websites. A link to a non-SAF website does not mean that SAF endorses such website.

SAF is not responsible for hypertext links to any and all third-party websites, particularly for such websites’ content or privacy polices.

SAF is not responsible for hypertext links from any and all third-party websites to the SAF website, and forbids anyone from establishing such a link without SAF’s prior written authorization.

By placing a link on your website to an SAF web page, you agree to promptly remove such link at SAF’s request. You may not use the SAF corporate logo or any other SAF logo, graphic or trademark at any time for any purposes or to link to SAF, unless authorized by SAF.

Products

All content included in our crate or exhibit products, including all activities and printable materials such as the activity or exhibit guide, is the property of Science Alberta Foundation. Science Alberta Foundation owns all intellectual property associated with these products and any duplication is strictly prohibited. Science Alberta Foundation will pursue any unauthorized use of products and materials.

Comments, Communication and other Content:

Visitors may post comments and other communications; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information; so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any form of “spam.” You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a card or other content. Science Alberta Foundation reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content.

If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant Science Alberta Foundation a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant Science Alberta Foundation and sublicense the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content is accurate; that use of the content you supply does not violate these terms & conditions or Science Alberta Foundation’s Privacy Policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify Science Alberta Foundation for all claims resulting from content you supply. Science Alberta Foundation has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. Science Alberta Foundation takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.

Refund/Cancellation:

Bookings can be cancelled or modified up until midnight 3 weeks (15 business days) prior to the confirmed booking start date. Full refunds will only be provided for those products cancelled under the aforementioned timeline. Any cancellations after the aforementioned timeline will not receive a refund. Refunds are automatically processed online.

Shipping:

Your order will ship by UPS Ground or alternative ground transportation. The delivery time may vary depending on your location. Please note packages may require a signature and will not be released without a signature. The delivery of your package may be delayed if no one is present at the time of delivery.

Shipping addresses can only be changed 2 weeks prior to your booking date.

All return shipments are prepaid by Science Alberta Foundation. You the user MUST call for a pick-up from UPS. Delayed pick-ups or late returns may be subject to late fees (at the discretion of Science Alberta Foundation). Delayed pickups may be subject to penalty. Please consider the next user as your product will be traveling to another destination.

Products ordered on the Science Alberta Foundation website are shipped only in the province of Alberta.

Science Alberta Foundation reserves the right to change this policy at any time. The policy will be kept up-to-date on this site.
