Hayley Science Happens Here 2009 in Grande Prairie, February 7th-8th, 2009, is a community event hosted by Science Alberta Foundation, to encourage young Albertans to enter into future careers in science, engineering and technology. Science Happens Here provides opportunities to develop knowledge, enthusiasm, and awareness to build the future of science, math and technology in Alberta's communities.


Community, volunteer and business partners make this innovative event a reality. Through initiation, funding, planning and implementation our partners bring amazing possibilities to the future of our young Albertans.



For Teachers & Schools

Increased knowledge, opportunity and excitement for science in young Albertans make Science Happens Here 2009 in Grande Prairie a success.

Teachers are encouraged to select from a variety of events designed to build on classroom curriculum and create enthusiasm for science and technology in students.


General Public

Community events are open to everyone: children, youth, adults and families.

Volunteers are fundamental to the success of Science Happens Here 2009 in Grande Prairie. Opportunities are available, including
